How to use AI in a technical interview

Use AI to rehearse, clarify gaps, and structure evidence — not to invent an answer during a live interview.

Prepare with your own evidence

Give the tool a real project, constraint, or decision. Ask it to surface likely follow-up questions, then verify every detail yourself.

Rehearse short answers aloud: context, technical choice, trade-off, and outcome. Keep the language yours so follow-ups do not break the answer.

Follow the employer's policy. If live assistance is not permitted, do not use it; explain what you know and how you would investigate the rest.
